Wondering how SubmitOrNot’s (SON’S) User Feeds work? You’ve come to the right place. SON uses an algorithm to generate search feeds that appeals to our users. The algorithm sorts through the ever-growing number of posts / contents to find the right feed for each of our users.
SON’s user-feed algorithm is a set of rules that decides what user posts or content each user see in their feed. This includes a personalized mix of content from the general SON user population, as well as users and groups each of our users are connected to.
Essentially, it decides which content is selectively relevant to show to each user based on user preference and post or content settings - To be seen by Everyone or by Friends Only.
How it works
- Our AI system gathers content from the general user Population, Pages, and Groups you are a member of
- The system then sorts thru each post and content shared by each user, then distributes each post / content that is shared to be seen by Everyone to everyone; However, post / content that is shared to be seen by Friends Only is distributed only to be seen by the friends of any user who published said post / content to be seen only by their friends on the SON platform.
NB: Posts / Content from everyone (the general SON user population) may only be seen by Premium Members
The content you see in your Feed includes and may not be limited to:
- Status updates
- Photos
- Videos
- Content from users you're friends with, and people you are not friends with
- Content from users you follow
- Content from Pages you've liked
- Content from Groups you've joined
- Suggested content from people you may want to know
