Profile Reviews: Overview & Rules

    Last updated: September 2, 2025

Profile Reviews help our community share honest, respectful feedback about real interactions. Reviews must be fair, relevant, and follow the SubmitOrNot (SON) Review Policy.

A star rating and a written review comment are both required in order to leave a review. This ensures feedback is balanced, constructive, and provides context for others.

    Key Principles

    • Be unbiased: Reviews should reflect genuine experiences—not personal grudges or retaliation.

    • Be respectful: Describe behaviors, actions, and outcomes without insults or harassment.

    • Be honest: Do not exaggerate, fabricate, or omit critical context.

    • Be relevant: Focus on your interaction with the user and platform-related experiences.

    • Protect privacy & consent: Do not post private details, doxxing, or explicit content without consent.

    • Follow the Policy: All reviews must comply with the SON Review Policy.

💡 No retaliation. Reviews are not to be used as payback when an interaction didn’t go your way. If a review appears retaliatory, report it for investigation.

    What Reviews Are Not

    • They are not a place for hate speech, harassment, or threats.

    • They are not for exposing private information or non-consensual content.

    • They are not for disputes unrelated to the platform or the interaction being reviewed.

    Violations & Enforcement

Confirmed violations of the SON Review Policy may lead to review removal and actions on the responsible account, up to and including suspension or removal from SubmitOrNot.

Tips for Writing a Great Review

    • Describe specific behaviors and outcomes (who/what/when/where) rather than labeling the person.

    • Stick to facts you observed; clearly mark opinions as opinions.

    • Keep it concise and readable; avoid graphic sexual detail.

    • Do not include personal contact info or off-platform links.

    Reporting a Review

If you believe a review violates our policies, use the in-app Report option on that review. Provide details/screenshots if prompted. Our team will investigate and take appropriate action.
