This quick reference guide explains common terms in the SON Review Policy with simple examples of what is allowed and what is not allowed.
Harassment
Definition: Any insulting, threatening, or abusive language directed at another member.

✅ Allowed: “We didn’t click, our communication styles were very different.”

❌ Not Allowed: “This loser is pathetic and should be avoided.”
Retaliation
Definition: Leaving a negative review in revenge for being rejected, blocked, or reported.

✅ Allowed: “Our chat didn’t move forward, but they were polite.”

❌ Not Allowed: “She blocked me, so I’m warning everyone she’s fake.”
Doxxing
Definition: Sharing personal information without consent (address, workplace, phone number, legal name, etc.).

❌ Not Allowed: “He works at XYZ Company on 5th Street, avoid him.”
Non-consensual Content
Definition: Posting explicit or private details without the other person’s consent.

❌ Not Allowed: “She told me in private about her health issues, here’s what they are…”
Off-Platform Disputes
Definition: Using reviews to settle arguments that happened outside of SON.

❌ Not Allowed: “I saw him arguing on Facebook, don’t trust him here either.”
Fabrication / Dishonesty
Definition: Exaggerating, inventing, or distorting experiences in a review.

✅ Allowed: “We didn’t meet in person, so I can’t say more.”

❌ Not Allowed: “We met last week and he stole my wallet” (when no meeting ever occurred).

Violations of these rules may lead to review removal and actions against the responsible account, up to suspension or permanent removal from SON.
